Vacation Station
Providing meals for children 1-18
Due to a need for school children in Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro in 2018, the Food Pantry began a program to help provide nourishment for children 1 to 18.
This program particularly applies to children on free and reduced-fee breakfast and lunch programs in the schools. Vacation Station distributes food to children when the schools are on vacation such as Christmas, winter and spring breaks, and summer vacation.
Our goal is to serve each child food for breakfast and lunch during the weeks of school vacation. Currently we serve between 150 to 200 children on this program. Vacation Station food is distributed on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the same time as the normal food pantry distribution.
150-200 Children receive food through Vacation Station
Food distribution occurs twice a month during vacation
Over 400 meals served each month to children in need
